A planning and architectural public exhibition for the former meat market and abattoir site at Duke Street and Bellgrove Street was held in Dennistoun Library from 2:30pm to 7:30pm on Thursday 24th January 2019. Please do leave a comment below (or get in touch directly) to share your thoughts about how you feel the updated plans for the site would (or wouldn’t) benefit and complement our community life and spaces here in Dennistoun, Haghill, and other surrounding areas.

  1. Dropped the ball here , only informed of the exhibition once it is in fact over . Alas I am unable to download data so guess I will await the next update hopefully in date.

    1. Sincere apologies on getting this notification out after the fact. Details for the event were not readily available online, so we went with the information we had at the time.

      Unfortunately this will mean that many people in Dennistoun will not have had the chance they would have liked to view and discuss these proposals.

      Hopefully, the images provided and the linked reGlasgow article give a reasonable flavour of the intentions for the site.

      DCC will continue to review progress at future community council meetings, and engage in discussion with the developers as appropriate.
