A food bank has been set up at The Everlasting Arms church at 12 Whitehill Street, G31 2LH, just off Duke Street.
The aim is to provide food bags of non-perishable items to those that need it. It’s open on first Saturday of every month between 2pm 1pm and 4pm. Everyone is welcome to go along for a tea or coffee and to collect food items.
If you would like to donate food, it can be dropped off on Wednesdays between 7:30pm and 9pm and Sundays between 10am and 2pm. Suggested items to donate are non-perishable items such as canned vegetables or fruit, rice, pasta, beans, cereals, tinned soups, etc. No glass please.
