Dennistoun Diggers are holding a Community Fair on Saturday 14th May 2011 at the Dennistoun New Parish Church hall on Armadale Street, from 11am until 4pm, with free entry to all. It will be a great day with plenty to interest the whole family.
As at craft fairs held previously in Dennistoun, there will be a wide variety of stalls offering a great selection of jewellery, scarves, books, paintings, photographs, cards, childrens goodies, nail art, and more.
As well of the craft fair element there will be lots of fun activities too, such as jewellery making workshops, massage tasters, performance workshops for children, face painting, and home baking.
There will also be an excellent line up of raffle prizes kindly donated by local businesses, including a Neals Yard Remedies gift box, Green City Wholefoods hamper, Nakodar Grill meal, Tapa Organic voucher and much much more!
Proceeds will go towards the Dennistoun Diggers Community Garden, which is run entirely by volunteers. Dennistoun Diggers is a local group who are setting up a local community garden with the aim of growing vegetables, fruit and herbs, and providing workshops to reskill the local community.
