Glasgow City Council – Community Councils Glasgow – Dennistoun Community Council

The locality covered by Dennistoun Community Council (DCC) has a population of 15,823 and its aim is to ascertain, coordinate and express the views of the wider community. In doing so, it abides by a set of formal rules which govern the operation of Community Councils across Glasgow. These rules were recently updated and, as a result, DCC has a new constitution.

Our constitution is contained within The Scheme for the Establishment of Community Councils along with the code of conduct for community councillors, standing orders for community councillors, and list of approved community council areas. The Scheme for the Establishment of Community Councils should be read in conjunction with Supplementary Guidance for Community Councils.

Further information on the role of community councils and the legislation governing community councils can be found on our About page.

DCC meetings are held in the Gingerbread hall on Armadale Street, at 7pm on the 2nd Tuesday of each month (see the dates page for confirmation and agendas).  You are warmly invited to attend.
