Dennistoun Community Council – 2021 Scottish Parliamentary Election Hustings – Glasgow Provan Constituency

A 2021 Scottish Parliamentary Election Hustings for the Glasgow Provan constituency will be hosted and chaired by Dennistoun Community Council on Thursday 22nd April 2021 starting at 7pm and finishing at 9pm, held online at facebook.com/DennistounCC.

See your prospective parliamentary candidates for the Glasgow Provan constituency. Watch them debate and discuss local issues. Ask questions on matters of concern to you.

All candidates standing for election in the Glasgow Provan constituency have been invited. They are:

  • Kim Long (Scottish Green Party)
  • Martin McElroy (Scottish Labour Party)
  • Ivan McKee (Scottish National Party)
  • Nicholas Moohan (Scottish Liberal Democrats)
  • Annie Wells (Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party)

All candidates have responded to confirm their intention to attend. The exception is Nicholas Moohan, who is unable to attend in person but has indicated an intention to arrange for an alternative representative to attend.

The Hustings Chair will make opening remarks and introduce the candidates, who will each then give a short opening statement. After these statements, the event will be opened up to questions submitted in advance. The event will end with closing statements from each of the candidates.

To make sure as many people as possible get to ask questions, please submit your question in writing, with your name, in advance of the event. You can do this by emailing the dedicated hustings mailbox via dennistounhustings@gmail.com. The organisers will sort the written questions into topics so we can cover as much ground as possible. Please note that none of the candidates will see any of the questions beforehand.

The event will be recorded.
