Dennistoun Community Council (DCC) has vacancies for seven new community councillors.

DCC strives to understand, coordinate, and express the views and priorities of the neighbourhoods and communities in the positive, inclusive area that DCC is proud to be a part of.

Do you have any particular skills, knowledge or experience which you would like to share with DCC? For example, you may wish to become involved in:

  • promoting Dennistoun as a positive and inclusive neighbourhood;
  • responding to local issues regarding planning and development, quality and improvement of local services, facilities and amenities, crime and community safety;
  • promote the arts and/or sports.

Those interested in becoming a community councillor are advised to review our About page, which contains guidance on community councils and the role of community councillors. Our Locality page confirms the areas covered by DCC. Our recently published minutes will also give an indication of what what to expect at DCC meetings.

The nomination form, with guidance notes is available for download, here as a PDF file, and here as a Doc file.

The closing date for submission of a nomination form is Friday 1st October 2021.
