Firpark Stalled Spaces Consultation

Firpark Regeneration
Firpark Regeneration

Tuesday 7th June, 7pm at WASPS Studios, Hanson Street, Dennistoun, G31 2HF.

Firpark Regeneration is a group people living in or connected to the Firpark area of Glasgow who are committed to improving their community.

The group has recently applied to Glasgow City Council’s Stalled Spaces fund for financial support in our efforts to make use of the derelict site of what was formerly No. 7 Firpark Terrace. For over a decade this space has been overgrown, neglected and a magnet for anti-social behaviour.

Inspired by the legendary Glasgow architect, Charles Rennie Mackintosh, who grew up and laid the foundations for his career while living at Firpark Terrace, it is hoped that this site can be transformed into a garden for the local community that draws upon his artistic legacy.

To help in achieving this aim, your views are sought on how the space should be designed so that it best reflects the wishes and needs of the community. Get along to the consultation event on Tuesday 7th June, 7pm at WASPs studios to find out more and to contribute your ideas.

A landscape designer from Stalled Spaces will be there to provide technical expertise on what is possible at the site and there will also be a short presentation from members of Firpark Regeneration Group. Or, if you are unable attend but still wish to contribute to the project, then email any ideas or suggestions to firpark.regeneration@outlook.com.

You can also get in touch with Firpark Regeneration via Facebook or Twitter.
