A call is being put out to programmers, researchers, artists, educators, and thinkers within the Dennistoun community who are able to participate with the exciting new ‘Skill/Trade’ project based at Duke Street’s Market Gallery.  Skill/Trade will have an emphasis on trading and exchange rather than monetary transactions.

Glasgow, from its legacy as an industrial city, now has a problem with stalled sites across the city. Glasgow currently has more vacant sites than the rest of Scotland put together. Many of these sites may have plans for future development, however this can be anywhere from one to over ten years until development is scheduled to begin.

Site Update: January 2012

The latest approved minutes, for the December 2011 meeting, have now been uploaded to the Minutes section of the site. and are available for public viewing.  As ever, the minutes contain a police report, elected member reports, committee reports, DCC action plan updates, etc.

The Applications section has also been updated with the most recent planning application report – December 2011.  This is a handy review of all recent applications relevant to the Dennistoun Community Council Area.  Where applicable, brief summary comments are made.  On occasion, DCC may submit or support a formal objection to an application.
