Would you like to learn how to grow fruit, meet your neighbours, and get involved in designing and planting a community orchard in Alexandra Park?
This will include free training and a visit to Graham Bell’s beautiful Forest Garden in the Borders for inspiration.
To find out more get along to the community orchard introduction on Thursday 20th August, from 6 until 8 pm, at Alexandra Park Sports Hub (the Bowling Green and Golf Club buildings). Tea, coffee and homemade cake provided. All welcome!
This meeting will be happening under the banner of the Friends of Alexandra Park group (hopefully as a way to build an orchard sub group) and will be a chance for people to share their ideas for the orchard and also to hear more about the free training that will be on offer.
If you can’t make it along but would like to volunteer please contact Clem via clementine@theurbanorchardproject.org or on on 07872071712.
This project is presented as part of the Helping Britain Blossom programme, in partnership with Heineken, The Urban Orchard Project, and The Bulmer Foundation.
