Dennistoun Conservation Society have arranged events for this Thursday, next Thursday, and beyond, which should be of interest to anyone with a connection to Dennistoun.
Thursday 11th June
11:00am, from the Post office, Annfield Place: A walking tour by Peter Douglas DCS Vice Convener, covering Dennistoun Conservation Area.
6:15pm, at Dennistoun Library, Craigpark: Award-winning writer Ian R Mitchell will be giving a talk on the history of Dennistoun.
Thursday 18th June
6pm, from the Library, Craigpark: Ian R Mitchell will lead a walking tour of Dennistoun.
These June events have been organised as part of Dennistoun library’s work towards setting up a local history group.
Saturday 4th July
Next Clean Up date. And then the first Saturday of every month thereafter. Meet at the gardens opposite 45 Broompark Drive at 11:00am. All equipment supplied. It’s a good way of meeting your neighbours and an hour makes a big difference especially in the private lanes and gardens.
Thursday 13th August
DCS meeting, followed by Dennistoun Day celebration.
Saturday 15th August
Guided walk of Dennistoun.
Saturday 19th September
Glasgow Doors Open Day historic guided walk of Dennistoun.
