Glasgow City Council (GCC) has published a draft Strategic Development Framework (SDF) for the Inner East area. This includes Dennistoun.

2021 Scottish Parliamentary Election Hustings – Glasgow Provan Constituency

A 2021 Scottish Parliamentary Election Hustings for the Glasgow Provan constituency will be hosted and chaired by Dennistoun Community Council on Thursday 22nd April 2021 starting at 7pm and finishing at 9pm, held online at facebook.com/DennistounCC.

Election Notice: 10th March 2020

The recent call for nominations to fill two community councillor vacancies resulted in more valid nominations than vacancies. This means that there will be a contested election held on Tuesday 10th March between 5:30pm and 8:30pm at Milnbank HA Community Flat, 1 Culloden Street, G31 3NX.

Anyone 16 years of age or over, on the electoral register, with an address in the Dennistoun Community Council area is eligible to vote. The election is administered by Glasgow City Council.

Candidate details will be provided at the venue.

2019 General Election Hustings – Glasgow North East

Glasgow North East Hustings 5th December

A 2019 General Election Hustings for the Glasgow North East constituency will be hosted and chaired by Dennistoun Community Council on Thursday 5th December 2019 at Drygate Brewery, 85 Drygate, Glasgow, G4 0UT. Doors open at 7:00pm. 7:15pm start. 8:45pm finish.

Alexandra Park Festival and Parade 2019

Alexandra Park Festival and Parade will take place on Saturday 20th July from 12 noon until 4pm (free entry).

Correction Regarding Meat Market and Abattoir Site Public Exhibition

The public exhibition of proposals for the meat market and abattoir site took place on Thursday 24th January (yesterday), rather than Friday 25th January (today), as originally noted in our previous post. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Meat Market and Abattoir Site Public Exhibition

Proposal at Bellgrove Street and Duke Street

A planning and architectural public exhibition for the former meat market and abattoir site at Duke Street and Bellgrove Street was held in Dennistoun Library from 2:30pm to 7:30pm on Thursday 24th January 2019.
