
The Dennistoun Treasure hunt is back! It’s an event that has taken place yearly since 2009, firstly hosted by Dennistoun Community Together (DCT), and then by Dennistoun Community Council (DCC) since 2011.

Glasgow Doors Open Day is a free festival taking place on the 15th and 16th September 2012 – the 23rd year that Glasgow has hosted the event. It provides a great chance for Glaswegians to become tourists in their own city for a day.
The next ordinary meeting of Dennistoun Community Council will take place on Tuesday, September 11th, 7pm in Whitehill School library.

There will be the usual review of planning & licensing applications (including Paton Street application). Elected members will provide updates also.

A call is being put out to programmers, researchers, artists, educators, and thinkers within the Dennistoun community who are able to participate with the exciting new ‘Skill/Trade’ project based at Duke Street’s Market Gallery. Skill/Trade will have an emphasis on trading and exchange rather than monetary transactions.

A borrow-a-bike-for-free scheme has arrived in Glasgow’s East End. It’s the ideal chance to indulge in cycling fever, following on from the successes of Chris Hoy and Team GB at the London 2012 Olympic Games, Bradley Wiggins in the Tour de France, and ahead of the forthcoming opening of the Sir Chris Hoy velodrome that will be used for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.
